While many are quick to place blame and call for changes, an unexpected defender has risen in Belichick’s corner: Tom Brady.
Brady, an emblematic figure in the Patriots’ history and a former prodigy of Belichick, recently spoke out in defense of his ex-coach during his popular “Let’s Go!” podcast. When asked about whether he still sees Belichick as the coach he once was, Brady confidently responded, “Absolutely. I think that he’s got a very consistent approach that he’s always taken… it’s an organizational win. It’s an organizational loss.”
Brady still backs the Patriots
In the wake of two devastating losses to the Cowboys and Saints, Brady remains unfazed, expressing full trust in Belichick’s commitment and method. “I think the results are different from what they’ve been, but I know that he’s still got the same work ethic, he’s got the same coaching style,” Brady emphasized.
While Brady controlled many game outcomes during his tenure with the Patriots, he acknowledged the unpredictability and difficulty of the sport, stating, “When I’m sitting here watching from afar I realize, God, there’s a lot of variables, there’s a lot of things that need to go right in order to have team success.”
As Week 6 approaches and the Patriots set their sights on the Raiders, the pressing question remains: Can Belichick and his team overcome the stumbling blocks and reignite the offensive spark they seem to have lost? With dismal offensive outings in their last two games, the Pats need to find an answer. One thing’s for sure, with legends like Brady backing him, Belichick is far from the end of his career in New England.
