Get ready for rumors gallore about Tom Brady possibly entertaining the idea of playing for the New York Jets for one season. Aaron Rodgers‘ injury has sparked many rumors about the potential replacement that the team from NYC might get in the coming weeks. Naturally, Tom Brady is at the top of that list of names despite his constant denials that he is even interested in returning to activity for one more season. But this is a reality he literally won’t be able to escape, even if he point blank denies any of the rumors are true. But there are other scenarios in which Brady does entertain this idea simply by not saying an emphatic ‘NO’ to any of the questions that come straight at him. Multiple outlets made echo of his recent response to a question about the Jets.

Jim Gray presses Tom Brady about the New York Jets

It happened during a Monday ‘Let’s Go!‘ podcast episode with co-host Jim Gray, who was simply doing the work that people want him to do as a journalist. Someone needed to ask Brady if he would even entertain the idea of possibly returning to the NFL amid the current Aaron Rodgers situation. It’s a unique scenario that does make people wonder if Brady would be willing to lend a helping hand to a team that no longer has an experienced quarterback. Tom did respond but his answer was left open to interpretation from everybody who wants to do one. He said: “Next question. You already know. I love being with you guys on Mondays and I love what we got going.”

Folks who like to read between the lines will tell you that Tom Brady seems a little fed up with the same line of questioning. The problem here is that he still seems in great shape and he undeniably is still very much in love with the game. If he didn’t offer an emphatic ‘NO’ in his response, that’s because he probably has given it some thought despite having a great thing going in retirement right now. The other obstacle was already discussed here, he is part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and that would represent a conflict of interest for him. Butuntil he actually says no, Tom Brady will keep that comeback door open.
