Travis Kelce seems unfazed by the risks of fame. Despite recent threats against his life, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has decided to move forward with his busy social and public relations schedule, all with an eternal smile on his face.
It is common for celebrities to attract all types of characters, from the most fervent fans to irrational haters. Since he began his highly publicized romance with singer Taylor Swift, Kelce has experienced both extremes.
The Chiefs star is adored by the singer’s loyal followers, better known as Swifties, who usually put him on a pedestal for every gesture he makes towards his girlfriend. But he has also experienced the other extreme, with two recent episodes in which he has received death threats.
The first occurred a few weeks ago when a man who claimed to be Taylor Swift’s “husband” not only sued them both but also claimed to have issued “death orders” against the player. The second was just this Sunday when an unstable, half-naked man began shouting in downtown Los Angeles, saying that he had a gun and that he wanted to assassinate Kelce and President Joe Biden.
Despite this, Kelce has remained unperturbed.
The serenity of Travis Kelce
The recent threats against his life have not dented the three-time Super Bowl champion’s spirits. According to a profile on X, formerly Twitter, called “Travis Kelce Fan Page,” the player had the luxury of playing a round of golf in the United Kingdom along with other celebrities.
The profile published a pair of images in which Kelce can be seen on an unspecified golf course accompanied by PGA player Dustin Johnson and NHL great Wayne Gretzky. Press reports indicate that Gretzky’s daughter, and Johnson’s son were also there.
In the snapshots, Kelce can be seen wearing a gray polo shirt, khaki pants, a blue baseball cap, and white tennis shoes. Interestingly, Gretzky was barefoot in both images. Johnson accompanied both stars after he missed the cut at the recently held US Open.
What is Kelce doing in the UK?
But Kelce wasn’t in the UK just for the pleasure of playing with Gretzky and Johnson. The Chiefs Kingdom idol made the trip across the pond to continue supporting his girlfriend on her Eras Tour.
This week, Swift will make eight appearances in the United Kingdom, and Kelce will attend several of them. The Kansas City tight end has not stopped supporting the singer on the international leg of her tour and has already accompanied her to Australia, Singapore, France, and Germany.
Although it is difficult to think that anyone could hate the Kansas City Chiefs star, these recent episodes show the risks to which celebrities are exposed. Kelce has not been intimidated, but the possibility that he has increased his personal security these days should not be ruled out.
