Kansas City Chiefs standout Travis Kelce, a key figure in the NFL, remains undecided about the endpoint of his illustrious career, despite acknowledging his extensive time in the league.

During Tuesday’s Chiefs minicamp, Kelce addressed inquiries regarding his retirement plans but provided no definitive answers.

Travis Kelce reveals a sweet secret about Taylor Swift in the kitchen

“I can’t put a specific timeframe on it,” Kelce told the media. “I enjoy coming to work every single day. Of course, I recognize there are opportunities beyond football for me. But when I’m here, I feel like a kid again.”

At 34, Kelce is aware of the stage of his career but is determined to continue playing as long as possible.

“I’m going to keep playing until the wheels fall off. Hopefully, that’s not anytime soon,” he said. “It’s clear that I’m closer to the end of my career than the beginning. I need to ensure I’m prepared for life after football as well.”

Last season, Kelce’s statistics saw a slight decline. He managed 93 receptions for 984 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games, a drop from his 2022 performance of 110 catches for 1,338 yards and 12 touchdowns in 17 games, which earned him All-Pro honors.

However, Kelce elevated his performance in the postseason, achieving 32 catches for 355 yards and three touchdowns over four playoff games. His contributions were pivotal in the Chiefs winning their second consecutive Super Bowl and their third in four years, highlighted by his nine receptions in the overtime victory.

Travis’s life off the field has grown exponentially

Speculation about Kelce‘s future stems not only from his age but also from his active life off the field. He has been in the public eye for his relationship with Taylor Swift, co-hosting the popular “New Heights” podcast with his brother Jason, and numerous commercial appearances.

Jason Kelce recently retired after a 13-season career with the Philadelphia Eagles, adding further intrigue to Travis’ potential retirement timeline.

For now, Travis Kelce’s focus remains on his football career, with no clear retirement date in sight.
