Saturday Night Live is the most long-standing comedu show still in the air with decades of being live on NBC. Last weekend, they returned with a new season that SNL alumn Pete Davidson hosted but people were not expecting cameos from the IT couple in the NFL: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Both of them showed up in different segments and got an equally loud ovation from the crowd inside the studio. The Kansas City Chiefs’ TE appeared on a skit where the SNL cast mocks the Swiftie mania that has apparently taken over the entire country. He shows up at the end for just a brief moment. Taylor Swift also showed up to present the musical number, her friend Ice Spice was that night’s act.
Travis Kelce reveals how he feels when he’s out with Taylor Swift
On the ‘New Heights‘ podcast, Travis Kelce talked about that experience: “We showed up at SNL, having the idea of showing up to support Ice Spice. Her and Taylor are friends. I always wanted to meet Pete Davidson. I’ve been a fan of his for some time. It was electric to be back in that place. There’s something about being in that room, being in the first episode of the season, I had such a fricking blast. It was a star-studded backroom, but I’m not one to be throwing out names. It was awesome. Lorne Michaels, thanks for having us, it was a pleasure. I didn’t know what skits were coming up, I think it was just ironic they were doing a skit on ‘Swift Mania‘, but I thought it was hilarious and when they asked me to be a part of it I said I’d be honoured. Taylor then made her cameo introducing her friend Ice Spice, who killed it.”
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce seem to be going steady
All of these trips to other towns and escapades during the NFL season have to mean Travis Kelce is definitely trying to go steady with Taylor Swift. So far, they seems to be getting along just fine and making advances as a new couple. They sure seem to be enjoying themselves as much as they can, given the extremely busy lives they both lead. Travis Kelce also has his podcast alongside Jason Kelce, which takes place in the mornings. They not always talk about the celebrity aspect of their lives but also dive into specifics about the NFL itself. Initially, that was the intention but they also understand they get insanely viral when they talk about Taylor Swift. Kudos to both of them.
