Two men have drowned on Easter Sunday in a pool on the Gold Coast.

Several paramedic crews were called to the pool, reportedly at the Top of the Mark apartment building, in Orchid Avenue in Surfers Paradise just before 7pm.

A man in his 60s and a man in his 30s were found in a critical condition following reports of a double drowning.

“Sadly, two adult males lost their lives,” Queensland Ambulance said.

It was unclear on Monday what the circumstances of the deaths were, but paramedics were expected to speak to media later in the morning.
