Two men from Victoria have drowned on Easter Sunday in a pool on the Gold Coast.

Several paramedic crews were called to the pool, at the Top of the Mark apartment building, in Orchid Avenue in Surfers Paradise just before 7pm.

A man in his 60s and a man in his 30s, both from Victoria, were found in a critical condition following reports of a double drowning.

“Sadly, two adult males lost their lives,” Queensland Ambulance said.

It was unclear on Monday what the circumstances of the deaths were, but paramedics were expected to speak to media later in the morning.

Police were not treating the death as suspicious and a report would be prepared for the coroner.
