Carlos Alcaraz’s historic Wimbledon win is worth £2.3million in prize money alone but his defeat of Novak Djokovic will make him ‘Gen Z’s new hero’ and rake in an extra £30million in deals by the end of 2023, experts told MailOnline today.

The 20-year-old’s extraordinary performance on the grass in SW19 over the past fortnight has cemented his world number one spot and he is now the natural successor to Djokovic, who he beat in an extraordinary five-set final yesterday.

Brand experts say Sunday’s win means that he has the ‘world at his feet’ and the chance to more than quadruple his estimated £7million net worth in the next few months because of his prowess on the court and how humble he is.

Brand and culture expert Nick Ede told MailOnline today that the Spaniard, who still lives with his parents in a £170,000 flat above a kebab shop in southern Spain, will ‘easily’ make £30million this year as the sponsors roll in. PR guru Mark Borkowski says that tennis’ global appeal to both men and women means ‘we are witnessing the new hero for Gen Z’.

Mr Ede said: ‘Carlos Alcaraz is poised to become one of the biggest stars in the world. With his good looks, fit body and winning smile I can see him being a brand’s dream ambassador. From razors to suits and of course sportswear he will be commanding big bucks and could even launch his own brand like Bjorn Borg or Maria Sharipova have done previously’.

Alcaraz is now the hottest property in tennis with multi-million pound deals with Nike, Rolex, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, BMW and racket maker Babolat in place. He is even sponsored by a Spanish ham maker. Experts have suggested that all these tie-ups may soon be renegotiated given his success – and more endorsements will be on the way.

The handsome star is believed to be in a relationship with fellow Spaniard Maria Gonzalez Gimenez, who trains at the same tennis club in Murcia. They are rarely seen together in public, choosing to keep their relationship very private.

The King of Spain, the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince George and Princess Charlotte watched tennis royalty Alcaraz win his first Wimbledon on Centre Court along with stars including Brad Pitt, Guy Ritchie, Daniel Craig, Emma Watson, Tom Hiddlestone and Ariana Grande. The global TV audience will have been comfortably over 60million in the UK and US alone.

PR guru Mark Borkowski told MailOnline that if he keeps winning, Alcaraz will be one of the biggest brands in sport.

He said: ‘He is only 20, but the world is at his feet. If he can improve his presence and demeanor on the court, we are witnessing the new hero for Gen Z.

‘Elite tennis has it all for those looking to extract riches. Consider the boxes it ticks – international profile, understanding of the rules, and the ability to manipulate social media; it’s not easily surpassed.

‘The channels to exploit commercially are numerous, as tournaments often integrate sponsors into all aspects of the event, including court branding, player apparel, equipment, and official merchandise. This level of integration enhances brand visibility and engagement.

‘The big plus is tennis demographics, appealing to a wide range of men and women across different age groups, making it a must-have platform for sponsors who adore its diverse audience.

‘His power comes from going beyond the rising talent tag. If he can stay at the top, he represents the new order in the game, even though tennis has always enjoyed the two-person duels like Borg Vs Connors and Nadal Vs Djokovic. That competitive edge elevates the status of each party’.

The new King and Queen of Centre Court were unveiled at a glitzy Champions Dinner last night.

Alcaraz, 20, and Marketa Vondrousova, 24, who won the women’s singles title, posed with their trophies at a celebratory dinner after winning their finals at SW19.

The annual champions’ ball is a longstanding tradition of the tournament. Winners and runners-up from that year will dress to the nines to celebrate the victors.

On Saturday Vondrousova, who wore Nike trainers with her stunning gown last night, was congratulated by the Princess of Wales after the Czech became the first-ever unseeded woman to win Wimbledon. And last night she partied with friends with a few Stella Artois lagers.

And in a gripping men’s singles final yesterday, already considered one of the greatest ever, Alcaraz served his rival Novak Djokovic a crushing defeat in front of a very excitable Prince George and Princess Charlotte who punched the air in delight.

The extraordinary match, filled with high emotions from both players, was also attended by stars including Emma Watson, Brad Pitt, Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig as well as the King of Spain, Felipe VI.

Last night Alcaraz, now seen as tennis’ next great star, wore a classic tuxedo and black tie.
