Woman hit with baseball bat and crowbar as she sat in car with children in horror Sheffield attack

A woman has been injured after being hit with a baseball bat and crowbar as she sat in the car with her children in Sheffield.

Police were called to Shirecliffe Road around 4.50pm on Monday, May 27, where it is reported a woman was approached by two people as she sat in her car.

A man and a woman then assaulted the woman with a baseball bat and crowbar. The woman’s car was also damaged and it is believed there were children in the car at the time of the incident, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police has said.

The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries to her head and nose.

A 42-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault and affray and an 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault, criminal damage and affray. Officers investigating the assault are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
