The Australian rugby league broadcaster, journalist, and administrator Phillip Ronald Gould AM, also known by his nickname “Gus,” was a player and a coach in the discipline.

Currently, he is the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs’ general manager of football in the NRL.

As a rugby player, Phil made 103 first-grade appearances across four clubs. And a  successful coaching career followed Gould after his playing career ended.

He began coaching in 1988, and to date, Phil has been the most successful and accomplished New South Wales coach.
