Early Life
Sophie was born in Watertown, Massachusetts, USA to a family of Jewish background. She stepped into this world on August 8, 1983. Moreover, her parents are Robert Flack and Fren Forman.

Sophie danced with the New York City Ballet for nine years from 2001. she published her novel, Bunheads, inspired by her life in the corps de ballet, in October 2011 by Little, Brown and Company. It was her first fiction and is based on the competitive world of ballet. At present, she is a freelance writer, editor, and also a journalist.
Furthermore, her words have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, O Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Weekly Standard, and Dance Magazine. Currently, she is penning her memoir about navigating the adult world as an unsupervised teen in New York City.
To avoid working on her book, this amazing writer enjoys helping other writers with their projects, weightlifting, figure drawing, and volunteering with vulnerable populations.
