He concentrated on the productivity revolution, macroeconomics, and the various difficulties with corporate earnings reporting during his stint at the Wall Street Journal. Before joining CNBC in April 2002, Liesman worked at the Wall Street Journal as a senior economics writer, covering domestic and global economies, corporate profits, and the Enron accounting disaster.
