Terry Hollands developed a keen interest in and participation in Judo and Rugby Union at an early age. He is one of just five men from the United Kingdom to have won the World’s Strongest Man competition. On September 4, 2015, he played rugby for England against the rest of the world in a charity match.

He participated in the Giants Live World Tour Finals in September 2019, just a few months after competing in his first bodybuilding contest. Moreover, he won the 2019 World’s Strongest Man Masters competition at the Official Strongman Games in Daytona, Florida, in November of 2019.
He declared his retirement from Strongman after withdrawing from the 2021 World’s Strongest Man due to an injury sustained during the loading medley. He competed in two events during the tournament.
