Following sending a goodbye note on his crush’s phone, a high school student committed suicide, Bailey Reay
‘I have had a crush on you for the longest time, therefore I assume this is goodbye,’ a teenager said in a voicemail to his crush.
Bailey Reay was discovered unconscious at his grandmother’s Sunderland house on December 19, 2020. his family called 911, and the medical team declared him dead at the site. the family is devasted by the loss of his death.
Bailey was at his aunt’s house when the tragedy happened. During his stay, he shared pizza while playing video games.
He was discovered dead by noon the next day, with an open bottle of medication supplied to his granny.
As per examination and forensics were performed, it was discovered that Bailey had liquor and drugs. Regarding Bailey’s demise, numerous people expressed worry about harassment. Police took his phone and laptop, although nothing specific was found, according to the inquiry.
They discovered a voicemail left by Bailey to a female he had a crush on, saying, ‘I have had a crush on you for the longest time so I guess this is goodbye.’
Police asked his inquired to his crush about it: “Why doesn’t fall within the remit of an inquest. There were a number of factors in Bailey’s life that must have been causing him concern.” she told the cops. She revealed that she had nothing to do with his death. She had no idea what he was going through.
His death raises concerns of the parents whose children are the target of bullying at school.
Bailey expressed fears about a range of issues, particularly “difficult family situation” and academics, despite the fact that recent records showed he had registered again. He has been changing his school for years. But nothing felt right. his family believed that things would be fine. He was living under the shadow of his fears, and unfortunately, he took his own life.
