Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, continues to redefine excellence as he etched his name in NFL history once again, becoming the fastest QB to reach 25,000 career passing yards. His record-breaking achievement came during a game where the Chiefs obliterated the Chicago Bears with a commanding 41-10 victory, underscoring their position as potent Super Bowl contenders.
Mahomes, known for shattering records, had entered the game with 24,772 career passing yards in 82 games. By adding 228 passing yards against the Bears, he surpassed the previous record held by Matthew Stafford, who achieved this feat in 90 games, accomplishing this in seven fewer games.
In addition to this milestone, Mahomes is also on track to become the quickest player to throw 200 career touchdown passes, needing just two more after recording two in the Week 3 match against the Bears.
The record-setting performance by Mahomes was part of an overall dominant display by the Chiefs, who jumped to a 34-0 lead by halftime and continued their reign in the second half. On the other hand, the Bears experienced a disastrous week both on and off the field.
