Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts scored his 10th rushing touchdown of the 2023 NFL season on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field during a home game against the Buffalo Bills to set a new all-time league record.

Hurts, 25, has now scored at least 10 rushing touchdowns in three consecutive seasons. No other quarterback had ever done that in league history and he is bound to extend the record next year.

Most of Hurts’ rushing touchdowns the past two seasons have been thanks to the Eagles running the “Brotherly Shove” nearly every drive to score or convert on fourth and short.

Hurts rushed for 10 TDs in 2021 and 13 the following year. He now has 10 rushing scores this season with a handful of games left to play.

Jalen Hurts ties Michael Vick

The “Brotherly Shove” into the end zone in the first quarter of the contest gave Hurts his 36th career rushing touchdown to tie former Eagles quarterback Michael Vick at seventh on the all-time list of runs scored by QBs.

At this rate, Hurts will likely become first on that all-time list in just a couple more seasons, a position held by former Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton at 75.

Despite the record-breaking rushing TD, Hurts struggled throughout the entire first half, throwing an interception. He didn’t get a TD pass until halfway through the third quarter.
