It appears that the New York Jets training camp is off to an eventful start, as there have already been some on-field incidents between players. These incidents have added an element of excitement to the camp.
On Saturday, there were reports of multiple on-field fights, with one occurring on the right side of the offensive line, which was quickly resolved. However, some of the other incidents were caught on camera.
Interestingly, these incidents took place during the first day of practice open to the public and in front of a sold-out crowd.
While some players seem to be getting along well, the real animosity displayed on the field between certain players is expected to make for captivating TV.
In their opening game, the Jets will return to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game for the first time since 1992. They will face the Cleveland Browns, with whom they last had a preseason game in 2008. The game will take place at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, OH, on Thursday, August 3.
Notably, this game will mark Rodgers’ debut as the Jets’ quarterback after arriving in a trade from Green Bay, officially during the week of the NFL Draft. Additionally, two days later, former Jets greats Darrelle Revis and Joe Klecko will be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the annual ceremonies held on the same field.
