Team USA secured a 100-63 win over Italy to clinch a spot in the 2023 FIBA World Cup semi-finals, where they’ll face the winners of the duel between Germany and Latvia.

Mikal Bridges produced an outstanding performance for Steve Kerr‘s side, recording 24 points and seven rebounds in less than 20 minutes.

Tyrese Haliburton followed suit with 18 points, four rebounds and five assists off the bench, while all but one of the 12 Americans who stepped foot on the court registered at least two points.

Unsurprisingly, no Italy player recorded more points than their star, Simone Fontecchio, who downed 18, shooting 12 out of 29 from the field.

The only other Italian to manage double digits in scoring was Stefano Tonut, who had 11 points.

Italy started off better but Team USA took a 10-point lead into the second quarter and never looked back from that point on, scoring at least 100 points for their fourth game in the FIBA World Cup.

Who do Team USA play in the FIBA World Cup semi-finals?

Team USA are considered as they main favorites to win the competition after receiving a boost in morale following their defeat at the hands of Lithuania.

They’ll now wait to see who wins out of Germany and Latvia, while Serbia are the other team to make it to the semis already, where the Serbians will face the winner of Slovenia vs Canada.
