The surprising F1 Forbes rich list: Checo Perez is outside the top five and earns five times less than Verstappen!

A new Forbes rich list has been released, with this one analysing the salaries of the current Formula 1 drivers.

While nobody will be surprised to see Max Verstappen earning the most money, the extent of his lead at the top of this table might have come as a shock to some.

In fact, the Dutchman, with a salary of 55 million dollars, earns more than five times the 10m dollars of his Red Bull teammate Checo Perez.

Lewis Hamilton is the second highest earner, after several years topping this list, while Charles Leclerc is third with double the wages of his Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz, who just won the Singapore Grand Prix.
