South Africa did the Italians a massive favour by holding Argentina last time out, and Italy may only need a point to progress with Sweden likely to get a result in the other game.

However, a shock South African win would equally send Italy home. Nevertheless, the Europeans will be heavily fancied against the world’s 54th-ranked side, although they’ve also certainly acquitted themselves well so far.

The samba stars dazzled against Panama in their group opener and they’ll be hoping to produce a similar performance to blow away a resilient Jamaica. Brazil, finalists in 2007, must win if they’re to advance into the knockouts for the seventh straight time at the World Cup.
