Olivia Dunne congratulated Jayden Daniels on his Heisman Trophy win for the Louisiana State University Tigers’ football team and reminded him that Joe Burrow also claimed the honor in the past.
Burrow has gone on to become one of the NFL’s star players and one of the best quarterbacks in the game, something that Daniels no doubt bids to emulate in his own football career and he took one step to doing that by claiming the award.
“It’s always been the Tigers,” Dunne wrote with a photo of Daniels and the former-LSU quarterback Joe Burrow, with the pair being edited to hold the trophy.
Dream fulfilled for Daniels
The Heisman Trophy is handed out to the person voted as the most outstanding player of the college football season, with the LSU signal caller beating out Michael Penix Jr., Bo Nix and Marvin Harrison Jr.
Daniels collected 503 first-place votes and 2029 points to win what is considered the most prestigious college award and akin to the MVP award in the NFL.

Daniels posted impressive stats in 2023 as he inspired the LSU to a 6-2 conference record and a 9-3 overall record. He threw for 3812 yards, 40 touchdowns and only allowed four interceptions whilst he rushed for 1134 yards and 10 scores.
“This is a dream come true,” said Daniels. “I want to thank all my teammates, from Arizona State to LSU. “You’re my brothers. You work so hard every day, inspiring me to be my best.”

It’s the latest haul in a remarkable 2023 season as Daniels previously won the Walter Camp Award, AP College Football Player of the Year award, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, Davey O’Brien Award and the SEC Offensive Player of the Year award.
He will be eligible for the draft in the 2024 with some earlier projections believing he could go in the first round as the ninth overall pick to begin his NFL career.
